The Jesse Tree
This Advent we will be praying with the Jesse Tree. The Jesse Tree shows through words and symbols the family tree of Jesus and traces the story of salvation from creation through the birth of Our Lord, Jesus. The tradition of the Jesse Tree is a way to enter into how faith in God has been lived in the past and inspires us how to live today. It is our family tree because we too belong to the same family as Jesus. For our Zoom session on December 6 at 5 PM, each student received an overview of the different symbols and people on the Jesse Tree and were assigned to decorate one symbol and present it during our session.
